MIN/PHX Trade

With Utah only offering picks, I have to think Phoenix is in the running for Al Jefferson.

First off, here's the deal:

Phoenix Gets:
Al Jefferson
Rights to Ricky Rubio

Minnesota Gets:
Jason Richardson
Earl Clark
Taylor Griffin
2011 1st Round Pick

Why Phoenix Does it: Why not? We move Richardson who is playing a position in which we could easily fill his shoes. Earl Clark won't even fit into the rotation so if we want to be fair to him, we should include him. Jefferson brings in what we need. A real PF. Rubio acts as our draft pick next year if he comes to the NBA.

Leaves Phoenix with this:
Nash/Hill/Turkoglu/Jefferson/Lopez with a deep bench of Frye, Warrick, Dudley, Dragic, etc.


Why Minnesota does it?
They can flip Richardson at the deadline and get more picks or a valuable piece for their future. They want to move Al. They we're willing to dump him for nearly nothing. The only reason I see them holding out, is Rubio. I don't think they want to trade him. Even with Flynn. But, I really don't see Rubio leaving Europe to go play for Minnesota...

I would've been happy with just Jefferson, but rights to Rubio too. I love how we make out so well in resident trade scenarios.

That team would be redonkulous Al Jefferson could play both the 5 or the 4 and he would easily be one of the top 5 centres in the game at the moment, would definitely make up for the loss of stat.. unfortunately he signed to the Jazz to make up for their loss of Boozer.

and for some reason I don't think they'd give up Rubio as well.... thats a bit too much to give up for Minnesota, that's a 5th round draft pick right there, maybe Jonny Flynn or someone might be a bit easier to get? thoughts?
