As the Phoenix Suns sit at home and watch the NBA playoffs, they are expected to be joined shortly by the Milwaukee Bucks, who are down 3-1 to the Indiana Pacers and will be without Damian Lillard, who tore his Achilles in Game 4.
Phoenix has long made it clear that they plan to trade Kevin Durant this offseason, but if the Bucks fizzle out, Durant might not be the hottest name on the trade market.
If Giannis Antetokounmpo demands a trade, Durant's value could plummet as a consolation prize.

Durant and Antetokounmpo are two of the better oversized forwards in the NBA, although the Greek Freak is younger, better, more durable, and has two extra seasons on his contract.
On top of that, Antetokounmpo is known as a loyal and patient superstar and has long been content in small-market Milwaukee. Durant, simply, is the opposite.
As teams like the Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, and Minnesota Timberwolves remain linked to Durant, all five teams would be better off with Antetokounmpo coming to town this offseason.
The Rockets own three of the Suns' future draft picks, and there was hope that the Suns could recoup that capital in a deal, but if Houston lands Giannis instead, the Suns will have to pivot.
While Phoenix had a clear exit plan to try and rebuild after missing the playoffs, the Bucks' failures complicate things, and it's hard to imagine a scenario where the Suns are at the center of the NBA offseason, which is where they need to be in order to succeed in their rebuild.
