The Milwaukee Brewers (61-37) close out a three-game series against the Miami Marlins (52-47) looking for a three-game sweep at American Family Field.
The Sunday afternoon game pits Eury Pérez (5-7, 3.78 ERA) against Brewers lefty Robert Gasser (2-4, 5.24), trying to bounce back from an ugly outing in Pittsburgh when he surrendered seven earned runs in three innings.
Already the fastest team to 60 wins in Brewers history, Milwaukee came into the day just one game behind the Dodgers for the best record in Major League Baseball.

The Brewers will reacquaint with an old friend Monday when Freddy Peralta takes the ball for the New York Mets, and there will be added intrigue as the Brewers send NL Cy Young frontrunner Jacob Misiorowski to oppose. The team originally planned to send Brandon Sproat – one of the players acquired in the deal that sent Peralta to the Mets last offseason – to the hill, then decided to flip the pitchers July 19.
Milwaukee dealt Peralta and Tobias Myers to New York in exchange for minor-league infielder Jett Williams and Sproat, who has had an up-and-down debut season in Milwaukee. But so has Peralta, whose name has been mentioned in deadline trade talks as he closes out the final year of his contract.
