Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel has sparked major excitement by comparing running back Omarion Hampton to Hall of Fame legend Terrell Davis.

Hampton did not know much about Davis, so he said that he would have to watch some of his highlights to see the parallels himself.

The comparison highlights their similar physical profiles and rushing styles. At 6 feet and 220 pounds, Hampton mirrors the exact blend of size, suddenness, and vision that made the 5-foot-11, 206-pound Davis a two-time Super Bowl champion and 2,000-yard rusher for the Broncos in the late 1990s.

The praise serves as a huge endorsement for Hampton, the 2025 first-round pick out of North Carolina, whose rookie season was limited to 545 rushing yards due to an ankle fracture.

After playing in former offensive coordinator Greg Roman's power scheme in his rookie season, Hampton is excited to play in McDaniel's zone offense.

"All the running backs like it a lot...it's gonna be super good for us," Hampton said. "It's just fun to learn new stuff and see how it goes."
