According to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, the Steelers are expected to hire ex-Packers strength and conditioning coordinator Mark Lovat, who worked under McCarthy in the past.

Lovat worked as the Packers’ assistant strength and conditioning coach from 1999–2009 until he was promoted to coordinator by McCarthy in 2008.

He left Green Bay for the Tennessee Titans in 2024, serving as their assistant strength and conditioning coach for two seasons. He’s now set to reunite with McCarthy, along with another strength and conditioning coach the Steelers are reportedly set to hire.
