Michigan football has seen quite a few changes to its front office in recent months, and it's more truly resembling that of a front office in pro football nowadays. With that, there's been a change at general manager with Dave Peloquin taking over, Skylar Phan has taken over the director of recruiting position, and Ron Bellamy has transitioned from wide receivers coach to director of player personnel.

The Wolverines did lose analyst John Collins, the former assistant director of player personnel, who is joining the Detroit Lions in a scouting role as of last week, but there's a new face joining the program behind the scenes.

Via an announcement on X (formerly Twitter), former SMU player personnel specialist Alec Bailey is leaving the middle south of the country behind and coming up to Ann Arbor, where he will be a recruiting analyst for Michigan football.

Extremely blessed and excited to share that I have accepted a position as a Recruiting Analyst with the University of Michigan! Beyond grateful for this opportunity and thrilled to take this next step in my career with such a prestigious program! #GoBlue 〽️ pic.twitter.com/DtYKFIvOrK

Bailey is a former player for Hendrix College in Arkansas, where he also got an undergraduate business degree. He had been at SMU for nearly two years before making the move to Michigan this past month.

With Collins gone, four former Michigan staffers have joined the NFL in the past year, with Jack Dunaway now with the Seattle Seahawks, Josh Meyer going to the Cleveland Browns, and Jack Turner going to the Tennessee Titans.
