Former Michigan football assistant LaTroy Lewis was dismissed from his new job with the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, after allegations of sexual assault surfaced, but there happens to be another layer to the story.

According to ESPN, Sherrone Moore was involved in the incident, with a report that the woman in question had reported the alleged assault to the Michigan football head coach, only for Moore to reportedly have 'weaponized' the woman's claim before becoming sexually involved with her via 'lewd and sexually charged text messages.' Moore denies the allegations, per his attorney.

The woman informed then-Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore, whom she knew personally, about the incident, according to her attorney. But Moore did not report Lewis and "weaponized" the incident against the woman, Truszkowski said, including sending her lewd and sexually charged text messages.

Moore's attorney, Ellen Michaels, denied the allegations in a statement to ESPN.

"Sherrone Moore did not fail to report misconduct, did not reward wrongdoing and did not harass anyone," she said. "These claims are false."

If true, while the Lewis story has its own implications, that would deepen Moore's story, as he was already dismissed from the head coaching job in Ann Arbor for having had an inappropriate affair with a staff member. There have been additional allegations from multiple women that Moore had pursued them in a sexual manner, as well.

We'll continue to monitor this story as it develops.
