Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons recently weighed in on the Los Angeles Rams’ blockbuster acquisition of Myles Garrett, offering his perspective on the latest addition to an NFC already loaded with defensive star power.
Garrett’s arrival has quickly become one of the biggest stories in sports, as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year joins a Rams roster led by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford. The move has also sparked renewed discussion about a potential Aaron Donald return, with speculation surrounding the future Hall of Famer continuing to grow.
“I would say it’s a whole lot different from the NFC versus the AFC. And I think everyone knows that. So I look at [the] AFC like, [the] AFC’s cool. Like there’s a couple sharks, but the NFC is shark-infested. You know what I mean?” Parsons commented via WFRVSports Cameron Ezeir.

Parsons, who has spent his entire career in the NFC, didn’t hold back when discussing the contrast between the two conferences, making it clear he sees a real difference in overall competitiveness and defensive talent.
His presence alone adds another layer to how both the Rams and the wider NFC are viewed, given the kind of impact he can create off the edge. Parsons also teased the Packers’ Thanksgiving matchup with the Rams, a game that already carries the feel of a playoff-level showdown and could end up having major postseason implications depending on how the season unfolds.

“Like, it’s different football. It’s like playoff football every week. I mean, there’s not really weak opponents in the NFC. I’m gonna put it like that. So, um, I know the AFC is top-heavy; the predictions are pretty much the same every year, but the NFC is unpredictable. So, it’s great to add more talent to an already shark-infested pool. So, you know, it’s gonna be exciting to see what we do on Thanksgiving,” Parsons continued.
