The 29-0 Miami University RedHawks are ranked No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll released Feb. 23, up from 21st one week earlier.
The RedHawks received 360 votes in the new poll. Miami defeated Western Michigan, 69-67, on Feb. 27, to improve to 16-0 in Mid-American Conference play this season.
Miami is the only undefeated Div. I men's basketball team in the country.
The RedHawks have two games remaining in the regular season before the MAC tournament. Miami is scheduled to host Toledo on March 3, and visit the Ohio Bobcats in Athens on March 6 on ESPN2.
The league announced March 2 that RedHawks head coach Travis Steele was fined $2,500 by the league for halftime conduct during the team's win at Western Michigan, and will reimburse for equipment damage caused during his tantrum.
Steele said during an interview with Rece Davis on ESPN's "College GameDay" that he'll commit to wearing a Speedo and being hoisted in the air while making a swimming motion at the team's NCAA tournament Selection Sunday watch party, if MU finishes the regular season undefeated and wins the MAC tournament.
