The Miami Heat are still in the sweepstakes for former Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
Earlier in the offseason, LeBron James announced his plans to leave the LA Lakers following an eight-year stint. Since then, a plethora of teams have been named as a potential landing spot for the King.
But over the last few days, it has become clear that two teams are the clear favorites to sign James – the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Speaking of the Heat, the Eastern Conference side may have a Bronny James trump card for convincing James to return to South Beach.

Miami Heat plan to offer Bronny James a two-way contract
With the 41-year-old deciding to leave the Lakers, many are wondering what it means for his son, Bronny’s, future in LA.
Well, if Heat insider Ethan J. Skolnick is to be believed, the Heat have a solution for this situation.
Skolnick claims that the Heat are open to signing Bronny on a two-way deal, but only on the condition that LeBron signs with the franchise.
With the Heat already trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo, adding James to the roster will make them instant favorites to win the 2026-27 NBA Championship.
While Bronny hasn’t exactly been terrific in the first two seasons of his NBA career, if there’s one team that is known for developing young players, it’s the Heat. So, this proposal indeed makes a lot of sense for everyone involved.
