Welcome to the Bavarian Football Works daily Men’s World Cup match thread! Every day during this tournament we will have a feature thread for discussion of the day’s matchups.

It is a pair of titanic bouts today. The high-flying Seleçao take on a resurgent and very fun Norway team. Meanwhile, former Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel is the last ex-Bayern boss standing at this tournament, and will pull out all the stops to help England adapt to the Azteca environment to face Mexico. It’s a match which, after confusing discussions and reports of a potential rescheduling, appears to be slated for the originally scheduled time.

The lineup:

  • Brazil vs. Norway (4:00 PM EDT)
  • Mexico vs. England (8:00 PM EDT)

Yesterday’s results:

  • Canada – Morocco
  • Paraguay – France
