Memphis football receiver Keonde Henry intends to transfer, he announced May 4.
Henry posted on social media platform X that he's entered the portal.
The transfer portal window closed in January, and there's no spring portal window in 2026. It's unclear how Henry would be able to play at an NCAA school in 2026, though he could sit out and officially enter the portal when the window opens after the season.
Henry was a former four-star recruit who was Memphis' highest-ranked recruit in the 2023 signing day class, but he barely played for the Tigers. He redshirted his freshman year before playing sparingly as a redshirt freshman and mostly appearing on special teams.
Memphis underwent major roster turnover after the 2025 season, when coach Ryan Silverfield left for Arkansas and was eventually replaced by Charles Huff. Henry chose to stay after Huff's hiring, but it now appears he's decided to move on.
The Tigers' receiver room will be made up mostly with transfers, including Tychaun Chapman, Terrell Timmons and Jemyri Davis. Returners Brady Kluse and Bryce Dorsey — who were each part of the same freshman class as Henry — could play roles as well.
Memphis kicks off its 2026 season at UNLV on Aug. 29.
