Curtis Givens III is bound for the transfer portal, set to leave Memphis basketball after one season, according to a report by On3's Joe Tipton.

The 6-3 combo guard has two seasons of eligibility remaining. The Memphis native came to the Tigers after spending his freshman season at LSU.

Givens is the second Memphis player this offseason to announce their intention to leave following the 13-19 campaign in 2025-26. Ashton Hardaway made his portal plans known on March 28. Players are not permitted to formally enter their name into the portal until April 7, and the deadline to transfer and be eligible for the 2026-27 season is April 21.

Givens, whose high school career began at MUS and finished at Montverde Academy, played well for coach Penny Hardaway. He was the team's third-leading scorer (9.4 points per game) and its top 3-point shooter (36.5%).

But Givens struggled to settle into a groove. He missed seven games due to various injuries, but he played the second-most minutes among all Tigers (25.7 per game). He made 15 starts and came off the bench in 10 games.

So far, two Tigers have acknowledged their decisions to return for the 2026-27 season. Guard Julius Thedford and forward William Whorton will be back, according to their agent, Travis King.

Others from the 2025-26 roster with eligibility remaining include Quante Berry, Aaron Bradshaw, Simon Majok and Arop Arop.
