CNBC says it earned 7 million which is the most in 10 years for a non music documentary. They also said the review sites are being flooded with positive reviews which suggests there's a organized effort to submit reviews.
I do wonder if there's any way for them to tell who actually attended and who just bought tickets I've been seeing news reports on it in theaters and in most of them 5 people is about the most that was in any one showing. We looked at our local theater with reclining seats and none of the showings yesterday had more than 3 seats sold.

Melania opening weekend hits $7 million domestically. People who actually attended the film totaled $162.18.
Heard from an old co-worker at Amazon that someone was fired for not suppressing low scores in IMDB. Obviously, 38k didn't see it, but showcases the need for an unbiased rating system. RT on the other hand most certainly did get the memo and suppressed all bad marks. Its embarrassing for film to see both ends is this.

It's made a whopping $11.1 million so far. Probably half of that is from rich boys buying out theaters to suck up to Trump.

So far it has been revealed that the WH Faith Director advisor is pushing group sales of Melania tickets to her email lists, a GOP Rep seeking Trump’s endorsement is buying them in bulk & giving them to primary voters, & military commanders are pressuring troops to buy tickets.

Interesting. As usual, the side which the speaker (or writer) is on is assumed to be unbiased, accurate, and correct but the opposing side is biased, twisted truth, and wrong. I've come across this very thing from the right and the left. I am not talking about Melania. I have not seen it and have no interest in seeing it. I am talking about anything left and anything right.

Except this isn't about politics. I've called out the bias of ratings for some time now and posted this link in the Superman thread. RT can be bought just like in Yelp. RT is trash now and hasn't been a source to trust since Fandango acquired them. I also pointed out how IMDB has the exact opposite scores.

Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead has filed a lawsuit demanding they remove his music from Melania. Greenwood wrote the score for something called Phantom Thread in 2017 said it's being used without his permission in Melania.
