The Denver Broncos draft class got a late start in the 2026 NFL Draft with just a single pick in the first two days, but with seven picks going into the final day. Having traded away their first and third round pick to the Miami Dolphins for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, they entered the draft with just a 62nd overall selection in the late second round in those first two days of the draft.

And despite that trade for Jaylen Waddle along with everything they’ve done to return their 14-3 AFC #1 seeded roster, their FanDuel 2027 Super Bowl odds aren’t even that good. Third in the AFC West (+2000) behind both the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs and sixth-best in the AFC. I expect Denver will out-perform that by a wide margin next season. However, I have digressed, back to the draft class.

Denver would ultimately move back from there into the early third round in a trade with the Buffalo Bills where they would select defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim out of Texas A&M. With two early fourth round picks, the Broncos wasted no time adding two more players right out of the gates on Day 3. The first of those two fourth round picks was running back Jonah Coleman out of Washington followed three picks later for Boise State offensive lineman Kage Casey.

With their 170th pick approaching, the Broncos then pulled the trigger on another trade — this time to move up — with the Cleveland Browns. They would send both their fifth and sixth round picks to move up 18 spots to select tight end Justin Joly out of NC State. That trade would create a long period of waiting for fans for the Broncos final three picks at the very end of the draft. They would stand pat all the way through the remaining fifth and the entire sixth round. A long wait for fans to learn who the final picks by Denver would be.

With the first of three seventh round picks, the Broncos drafted Illinois safety Miles Scott with the 246th pick. Then with the final two Mr. Irrelevant and runners-up Mr. Irrelevant picks, Denver selected Utah tight end Dallen Bentley with the 256th pick and Buffalo linebacker Red Murdock with the final 257th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft. With those last two picks, the Broncos became the first team in the modern era to have the very last two picks of a draft.
