Meet the Chaires Little League World Series 2026 team in regionals

In 2025, the Chaires-Capitola All-Stars won the Tournament of State Champions, the top national Little League tournament for players 11 and younger. Now the boys from that team are out for a bigger prize: a trip to the 2026 Little League World Series.

The baseball team from Tallahassee upset three-time defending state champion Lake Mary, winners of the 2024 LLWS, to win the Florida state Little Little tournament for the first time. Ten members of the Chaires team, the self-proclaimed "Green Machine," were part of that 11U squad from the TSOC.

One of those players, Xavier Schenck, shut down the Lake Mary bats in a 6-0 win to reach the LLWS Southeast regional. Camden Arnold wasn't on that 11U team, but his two-run triple opened the scoring, and Kai Stephens' bases-loaded triple sealed the victory.

To punch their ticket to Williamsport, Chaires will need to come out on top against seven other state champions in Warner Robins, Georgia. The double-elimination tournament begins Thursday, Aug. 6, with Florida taking on Columbus, Georgia. If they navigate the field and win the regional title game Aug. 11, Tallahassee's next game would come Aug. 19 at the Little League World Series.

Where to watch Little League World Series 2026​

All games in the Southeast regional tournament can be watched via streaming on the ESPN app. Select games, including the regional championship Aug. 5, will air on ESPN. A subscription to ESPN's Select plan ($12.99 per month) is necessary to watch the ESPN+ games available only via streaming, while the games broadcast on ESPN require the Unlimited plan ($29.99 per month) to stream.
