Will Wade continues to push the limits to start his second stint with the LSU Tigers basketball program.

Israeli point guard Yam Madar has agreed to join LSU, according to reports from Mozzart Sport. This marks a significant move in college basketball as a EuroLeague vet steps away for another shot at the NBA. Madar's current club, Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C., was just in a quarterfinal matchup with Real Madrid Baloncesto.

There were reports that suggested Madar had been in negotiations with LSU for a $5 million contract to play the upcoming season. Those talks now appear to be in the final stages.

Madar, who will be 26 next season, will require special approval from the NCAA in order to become eligible to play college basketball in the United States.

LSU has struggled to find talent since Wade took over in Baton Rouge. The entire roster was vacated shortly after his arrival and is still in the process of a rebuild. While finding talent abroad isn't out of the question at this point, it's rare to find a veteran who was a second-round pick of the Boston Celtics in the 2020 NBA Draft headed back to college.

Madar appeared in 16 games last season, averaging 3.1 points, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 rebounds per game.
