Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy left Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers early after being hit by a pitch.

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Aaron Ashby hit Muncy with a pitch in the top of the eighth inning with two outs and a runner on first base.

Here is the pitch that hit Max Muncy in the hand/wrist area.

Muncy was caught in what looks to be the wrist area and yellowed out in pain. He tried to stay in the game, but his hand would not stop shaking, and he made his way to the dugout.

In his place, Santiago Espinal took over as the pinch runner and slotted in right at third base, a position he can play well.

Muncy, along with Andy Pages, has been the best player in the lineup through the first quarter of the season, really giving the offense a spark when it needed the production.
