But USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino had a subdued reaction to the last-second loss — a simple eye roll and then a turn on his heel to sit down.
In a rare luxury for the USMNT, there was nothing at stake in the group stage finale against Turkey. Pochettino went with a highly rotated starting XI, but the final result was a gut punch. Now, the U.S. has five days to prepare for its round of 32 matchup against Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 1 in Santa Clara, California.
