Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule delivered a passionate statement about mental health on Thursday after the tragic death of Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland.

The tragic nature of Kneeland's death has sparked a wide recognition of the mental health struggles athletes and others around sports may face, often without anyone knowing.

Rhule spoke to the importance of supporting those who are going through a tough time and reflected on his past experiences as a coach for how it's impacted how he advocates for his players and their mental health.

"Everyone's going through something," Rhule said in his Thursday press conference. "We're on the road together."
