The annual National Marquette Day game is here.
The MU men's basketball team hosts Butler on Feb. 7 at Fiserv Forum, with the Golden Eagles (8-15, 3-9 Big East) looking to win their third straight home game.
The Bulldogs (13-10, 4-8) won the teams' first matchup, 87-76, on Jan. 23 at Hinkle Fieldhouse, though the game was close with four minutes remaining.
More: Marquette players have a 10-year-old teammate. It's a sweet story.
More: Former Marquette star Kam Jones returns to Fiserv Forum with Pacers
Follow along for live updates from the game:
Guards: Nigel James Jr., Adrien Stevens, Chase Ross
Forwards: Ben Gold, Royce Parham
This is another winnable game for the Golden Eagles. A win with the young talent having a good game in front of a raucous crowd would go a long way to alleviate MU fans' frustrations with this season. The guess here is that the Golden Eagles' Nigel James Jr. and Royce Parham lead a relatively easy victory.
Prediction: MU 75, Butler 63
Odds courtesy of BetMGM as of Feb. 7
Here are the next five games for the Golden Eagles (all times Central):
