The agents of Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi are in close contact with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, according to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club and Man United are both expected to strengthen at the back in the summer, and the Cherries star has emerged as a transfer target. Sensei is out of contract at the end of the season, and he is expected to leave Bournemouth. However, the Red Devils and Spurs are not the only ones keen on the 28-year-old Argentine defender, with Chelsea also keeping tabs on him.
Senesi is set to choose his next club soon, but a move to Tottenham will largely depend on their Premier League status at the end of the season. Man United are third in the league table after 31 games and victory over Leeds United on Monday will move them closer to clinching Champions League qualification for next season. A move to the Old Trafford club could be more appealing to Senesi, and they could do with such an experienced defender given the need for quality depth at the back next season.
Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt have struggled with injuries this term and Man United need to ensure they have quality options available in the position as they prepare to challenge across four competitions next season.
