The men's basketball bracket was announced Sunday for the NCAA Tournament, including 31 automatic bids and 37 at-large schools.

Tennessee is a six seed and will open tournament play Friday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Vols will face No. 11 seed Miami University or SMU in the first round. The winner will advance to play No. 3 seed Virginia or No. 14 seed Wright State in the second round.

The NCAA Tournament First Four will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, while the first round will be contested Thursday and Friday.

The Final Four is scheduled for April 4-6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Tennessee advanced to the Elite Eight in its last two NCAA Tournament appearances under head coach Rick Barnes.

Tennessee recorded wins over Mercer, Northern Kentucky, North Florida, Rice, Tennessee State, Rutgers, Houston, Louisville, Gardner-Webb, South Carolina State, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and South Carolina during the 2025-26 regular season. The Vols lost to Kansas, Syracuse, Illinois, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky (twice), Missouri, Alabama and Vanderbilt.

Tennessee defeated Auburn and lost to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
