The Toronto Maple Leafs are running out of time to trade Bobby McMann. The NHL trade deadline is Friday at 3 p.m. ET.
They might have to compromise on their asking price.
It's been believed all along that the Leafs were seeking a first-round pick in return for McMann.
That price may now be a couple of second-rounders.
If not a first for Bobby McMann (and contenders are running out of them to trade), then Toronto would consider two seconds, which is what Vancouver got for Kiefer Sherwood," wrote TSN's Elliotte Friedman in a new article on Thursday night.

This isn't the first time McMann has been brought up in the context of Sherwood this week.
There's also been a suggestion that the five year, $5.75 million AAV contract Sherwood signed as an extension with the San Jose Sharks could be an example of the type of contract that the Leafs could give to extend McMann.
McMann, though, is a logical trade candidate unless an extension comes.
He's on an expiring contract, so it's a chance for Toronto to get value for him before he reaches free agency.
He's also got a cap hit of just $1.35 million, which looks like quite a bargain for an acquiring team with McMann in the midst of a career-best offensive season.
A deal could come down to whether the Maple Leafs are willing to settle for less than a first-round pick.
If they are, it sounds like this trade is coming right up.
