Manchester United forward gives green light to Serie A transfer

Joshua Zirkzee has reportedly given the green light for a move away from Manchester United.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Zirkzee has given an initial ‘yes’ to the idea of joining Juventus this summer.

The Serie A club want to sign a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic and have identified Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani as their number one target.

But the two clubs are currently far apart in their valuation, and Juventus are exploring other alternative targets.

They are keen to sign Zirkzee but prefer a loan move.

United would likely want a permanent transfer, so they could reinvest the acquired funds to bolster their squad.

Zirkzee started the Red Devils’ first pre-season game against Wrexham last weekend, but he is expected to leave the club in the current transfer window.

The Netherlands international has been an underwhelming signing since joining from Bologna in 2024.

He has bagged only nine goals and four assists in 75 appearances across all competitions.

The forward is clearly not part of Michael Carrick’s future plans, having played just 127 minutes under the English boss last season.

Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson have officially joined United.

The club are still seeking a third midfielder, while a new left-back is a priority.

Addressing the future of Marcus Rashford is also crucial, with any potential frontline addition depending on it.
