Make your choice for Times Reporter Athletes of the Week (Feb. 9-14)

Girls basketball kicks off the OHSAA postseason with games starting this week, with the boys basketball tournament assignments passed out after drawing Sunday.

Tuscarawas-area student-athletes closed out regular season action last week and put forth plenty of solid efforts in the Times Reporter coverage area.

Take time to cast your vote for your choice during the Times-Reporter Athletes of the Week for Feb. 9-14.

High school sports fans can vote in two polls this week to pick their top performance from the week before. The polls run until 5 p.m. Friday.

Winners will be announced on The Times-Reporter website. You can see the full list of winter winners so far below this week's polls.

Nominations for Athlete of the Week can be sent to [email protected] by noon Sunday. Please include the athlete's name, school and sport and a little about their accomplishment that week.

Dec. 15-Dec. 20: Grady Barkley, Malvern boys basketball, and Ella Debo, Malvern girls basketball.

Jan. 5-Jan. 10: Javyn Lafferty, Newcomerstown boys basketball, and Laynie Matchett, Newcomerstown girls basketball.

Jan. 12-Jan. 17: Jayven Johnson, Carrollton boys basketball, and Sofia Secrest, Strasburg girls basketball.

Jan. 19-Jan. 24: Cale Dinger, Indian Valley bowling, and Ava Edwards, Claymont girls basketball.

Jan. 26-Jan. 31: Dylan Sours, West Holmes wrestling, and Abby Johnson, Claymont girls basketball.
