The Mississippi high school soccer season has concluded with the MHSAA championships. The Clarion Ledger recaps all 10 MHSAA boys and girls title games.
MHSAA moved the Class I-7A championship games to the week of Feb. 20-21 due to the winter storms that swept across the state in early February.
The Jaguars capitalized early with a Carson Pentecost goal, and Tanner Nichols scored in the second half to beat Biloxi 2-0 for Madison Central's second consecutive title.
In a rematch of the 2024 title game, Center Hill got the edge, beating the Mustangs 1-0. Erick Duenas scored in the first half, and Center Hill's defense took care of the rest.
Wyatt Jones was too much for Pontotoc. The Sumrall forward had a hat trick in the Bobcats' 4-0 win. It's Sumrall's first title in program history, and Jones was named the game's MVP.
The Bulldogs won the 4A championship 3-0 against Bay High. Eric Tinajero, Alex Tinajero and Collin Nolen scored for New Albany, ending Bay's hunt for a fourth straight title.
The Fighting Irish scored in the first half, all they needed in their 1-0 win against St. Andrew's Episcopal. It's St. Patrick's first title since 2017.
The Golden Wave fell to Northwest Rankin in the 2024 championship, but this time, they won 2-0 on goals by Jazmine Quinn and Cat Long in the second half.
