I've been super busy at work the last couple of months so I haven't had much of a chance to post. However I was able to watch the Senior Bowl and a few days of the NFL Combine.

So I can't resist posting a Cardinals Mock draft:

I'm predicting one trade for the Cards. The Cardnals trade their 1st and 4th round picks to Dallas. Dallas trades their 1st and 2nd round picks to Arizona.

Round 1 (from Dallas):

OT - Anthony Castonzo - Boston College
6'7" 311lbs

Castonzo is a highly intelligent player with great size, athletic ability and fundamentals. This will enable him to start right away as a rookie. I see him eventually becoming the starting LT on this team but will most likely start at RT.

Round 2:

OLB - Justin Houston - Georgia
6'3" 270lbs
Houston represents the Cardinals future at OLB. He will need to work on his coverage skills but will provide immediate help with the Pass Rush.

Round 2 (from Dallas):

TE - Luke Stocker - Tennessee
6'5" 258lbs
The Cardinals have never had a TE that they could count on. Stocker would finally give the Cardinals a weapon at TE in the mold of Jason Witten. Stocker is just as capable as a blocker as he is catching the ball. He had a fantastic Senior Bowl week and would be a steal here in the second.

Round 3:

ILB - Colin McCarthy - Miami
6'1" 238lbs

This kid has a ton of heart. He brings in on every play. At the Senior Bowl he flashed great range running sideline to sideline. Look for him to be a special teams standout and fan favorite.

Round 5:

NT - Sione Fua - Stanford
6'2" 308lbs
Dan Williams will be the starter entering this season. However Fua will provide depth at NT in case Williams needs a break to catch his breath. However Fua will never be much more than a backup/rotational guy.

Round 6:

CB - Richard Sherman - Stanford
6'3" 195lbs
Wow a pair of Stanford Cardinal taken back to back. What can I say I love players who are smart and give it their all. Sherman is a big physical CB and matches up well with the bigger WR in the NFL these days. He will provide additonal depth to the defensive backfield.

You forget we have another 6th rounder from Philly via TB for Wells. I think its pick 180.

I can dig it. :) I had the tough choice between Smith and Castonzo in the draft I participated in, either guy should be money.

I felt I had to trade back up to get Justin Houston on mine, (I ended up with back to back picks 16/17, it was a lot of wheelin and dealin) I don't see Houston making it to the second round, and I think he is absolutely worth moving up for.

I'd PUKE if that happened!

Take Von Miller with the 1st and Kyle Randolph with our 2nd

Scouts I've heard talking about Anthony stated he's going to be CRUSHED in the NFL...and the tape shows he stands up too fast and his knees don't get bent.

HUMAN TURNSTILE

Instead take the 1 and 2 mentioned here and pay Gaither.

I don't like Castonzo as a prospect much but I also think that Carimi and Sherrod will be the best Tackles in this class, and nobody seems to agree with me.

I would hate it if the Cards drafted Houston . . . Because it means that the Packers didn't pick him ;)
