Louisville quarterback Lincoln Kienholz has signed a six-figure deal with Adidas, as first reported by On3's Pete Nakos. The Ohio State transfer is represented by The Familie.
Adidas, which is Louisville's team apparel sponsor, has continued to expand its brand across college football, recently agreeing to deals with Tennessee and Penn State. Other football players who have signed with the brand include LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Indiana-turned-Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza, among others.
Kienholz spent last season with the Buckeyes competing for a starting spot, ultimately losing to Julian Sayin, who finished fourth in the Heisman race. He played in 12 games during his career at Ohio State, and will start for the Cardinals this season.
Kienholz has completed 21 of 36 career passes for 250 yards and a touchdown. He’s also rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
The former four-star quarterback was one of three players that represented Louisville at ACC Kickoff, joining defensive lineman Clev Lubin, offensive lineman Lance Robinson and head coach Jeff Brohm.
