Luka Doncic went through a fairly public split with his former fiancée Anamaria Goltes in 2025, but things have taken a surprising turn in the court case.

The unbelievable NBA trade which saw the Los Angeles Lakers acquire Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks had some intense consequences on the superstar’s personal life.

Doncic and his long-time girlfriend and fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, went through a messy breakup in the aftermath. The split wasn’t straightforward either, with issues arising over custody of their two daughters, Gabriela and Olivia.

Goltes filed a lawsuit against Doncic in California for child support, which the 27-year-old and his attorneys disputed. And now, it seems that things are finally moving in a positive direction for Luka.

Anamaria Goltes is seeking to resolve child support issue ‘amicably by mutual agreement’

Doncic and Goltes had been together since they were teenagers before their relationship ended. And now it seems like the two are ready to handle their split a little more amicably.

Reports emerged on Tuesday that his ex-fiancée had filed to drop the child support court case, although it was initially rejected.

“In court docs Anamaria Goltes submitted Monday that were obtained by TMZ, she requested a Los Angeles judge dismiss her request without prejudice,” TMZ reported.

“The document read, ‘I am withdrawing my Petition for Child Support with the specific intention of resolving this matter amicably and by a mutual agreement which is in the best interests of our children.’

“Anamaria’s request to dismiss was rejected by the court, due to the paperwork missing Luka’s signature.”

Doncic will be hoping that once the paperwork is in order, the case can be dismissed. Things are looking up for Luka as he prepares for one of the biggest seasons of his NBA career with the Lakers.
