Lone Oak High School is always looking to build toward the future for the Lady Buffaloes softball program and they took strides toward that this week with its annual summer softball camp.
Those in grades two through sixth participated in the morning session while those in grades seven through nine took the afternoon session. Activities were divided up based on skill level.
Those in the younger sessions were introduced to the game with basic skills and activities to build excitement about the sport in the hopes they come back to play.
Athletes in the older grade levels participated in more game simulation type of drills in order to prepare to play at higher grade levels and hopefully prepare to be the pillars of the softball program going into the future.
