Apr. 20—BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — Bemidji State men's golf junior Logan Schoepp held off his competition to earn top medalist at the NSIC Championships on Saturday as the 54-hole championship concluded.

Schoepp led from round one and shot rounds of 68-71-70 to finish seven-under par at 209 and just edged Concordia-St. Paul's Tom Gutzmer by one stroke. He became the 17th Beaver to earn top medalist honors at the NSIC Championships and the first since Chris Swenson in 2021.

As a team, the Beavers tied for third with Minnesota State, shooting 884 (294-290-300), while Concordia-St. Paul won the team title with a combined score of 862 (294-289-279).

Freshman Brogan Paschal followed Schoepp and tied for 23rd, finishing with a three-round score of 226 (78-70-78). He was followed closely by Koby Kuenzel (77-76-74) and Tate Usher (77-73-78), who tied for 25th and 29th, respectively. Fifth-year senior Jack Southard rounded out the Beavers' five competitors, shooting 231 (72-80-79) and placing 33rd.

CSP earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional. A total of 80 teams and 32 individuals will be selected for regional competition. There will be four regional sites where two regions will meet and conduct regional tournaments.

The NCAA Midwest/Central Super Regional will be played on May 8-10 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri, hosted by Missouri Western and the St. Joseph Sports Commission. Two individuals and a minimum of three teams from each regional will advance to the finals, while the eight remaining team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships. Selections will be announced on Friday, April 25 via a press release on NCAA.com.
