According to reports, Liverpool have submitted a €120 million offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
In recent hours, the future of Barcola, 23, has once again become a topic of discussion because, according to reports, the Frenchman has rejected the Parisian club’s latest contract extension offer.
As if that were not enough, journalist Achille Ash now reports that Premier League club Liverpool have submitted an offer worth €105 million guaranteed plus €15 million in bonuses for the France international.
According to the same report, the offer is currently under review by the Paris Saint-Germain board. With that, the talented winger’s potential departure from the Parisian club appears increasingly likely.
Ash says Liverpool’s offer is close to PSG’s asking price, but negotiations remain ongoing, according to his report.
"Liverpool have just submitted an offer worth €105 million plus €15 million in add-ons for France international Bradley Barcola from PSG. The offer is being studied by the Parisian hierarchy. The departure of the France international is increasingly likely. The offer is close to what the Paris club is demanding. Negotiations are ongoing," Ash wrote on X.
It should also be taken into account that, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Paris Saint-Germain are seeking €170 million to part ways with Barcola. That would leave a gap of €50 million between the two sides, suggesting the negotiations are far from over.
Barcola’s future took on particular importance Sunday when respected journalists Florian Plettenberg and David Ornstein reported that an agreement between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid for the signing of Yan Diomande is very close to being finalized, with the player already having agreed to personal terms with the Spanish club.
This is relevant for PSG because, for weeks, it was reported that Diomande had already chosen to join the Parisian club and had already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Parc des Princes side.
However, Real Madrid entered the race and now appear to have convinced the player that his best option is to join the Santiago Bernabeu club.
That said, it was also reported in recent hours that PSG had decided to withdraw from the race for Diomande because of the high financial demands from both his club and the player, and would instead focus on extending Barcola’s contract.
