He's back. Brooks Koepka, a little more than two weeks after leaving LIV and being reinstated by the PGA Tour, marks his return to the circuit this week at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open.

Koepka, 35, hasn't played in a PGA Tour event since the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

In his announcement that he was coming back, he listed the Farmers and the WM Phoenix Open as his first two PGA Tour events in 2026. On Tuesday at 9 a.m. local time (12 p.m. ET) he'll conduct his first pre-tournament news conference on the tour in nearly four years.

How did Brooks Koepka's return to the PGA Tour play out?​


Koepka announced has leaving LIV on Dec. 23. On Jan. 9, the golf world learned he applied for reinstatement with the PGA Tour. Three days later, on Monday, Jan. 12, the Tour announced he was indeed coming back, but with only with layers of rules and restrictions.

What did Brooks Koepka agree to in order to return?​


Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour is going to cost him. Under the terms of the new Returning Member Program, Koepka will not be eligible to earn equity from the Tour’s Player Equity Program for the next five years, which the Tour estimates could cost him between $50 million and $80 million. He will also not receive any FedEx Cup bonus payment in 2026 and will make a $5 million donation to an agreed-upon charity. But that's not all, as there are several financial penalties he had to agree to.

What has Brooks Koepka said so far about his return?​


In a social media post shortly after his reinstatement, Koepka sent a message to fans on social media, which read, in part:

I believe in where the PGA TOUR is headed with new leadership, new investors, and an equity program that gives players a meaningful ownership stake. I also understand there are financial penalties associated with this decision, and I accept those. Finally, I want to thank the fans. Your support means more to me today than ever before

What is Brooks Koepka's track record at the Farmers Insurance Open?​


Koepka has made five appearances at Torrey Pines and the last time he played the Farmers, in 2022, he missed the cut. In fact, he's missed the cut there in four of his five starts in the Farmers, but, he did tie for fourth when Torrey Pines South hosted the 2021 U.S. Open.
