Jun. 6---- The Little Crow Junior Golf Foundation and Scott Dirck Golf Academy are developing a golf instruction and player development facility at Little Crow Country Club in Spicer, according to a news release from the Scott Dirck Golf Academy.

The new academy will provide year-round golf instruction, player development programs, club fitting services, junior golf training, private coaching and advanced technology designed to help golfers of all ages and skill levels improve their game.

Led by PGA Professional Scott Dirck, the academy will develop competitive junior golfers, collegiate players and golfers seeking elite-level instruction in a positive and professional environment. Dirck brings more than 32 years of coaching experience and has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of Minnesota's Top Teachers since 2007.

"Our goal is to create one of the premier player development programs in Minnesota while giving golfers access to high-quality instruction and training opportunities year-round," Dirck said. "This facility creates opportunities for players at every level, from beginners to collegiate and competitive golfers."

The facility, designed by CB Designs, is expected to feature indoor and outdoor instruction space, simulator technology, club fitting capabilities and expanded opportunities for junior golf development and winter training programs.

"This facility represents exactly why the Little Crow Junior Golf Foundation was established," said Nicklaus Dalton, president of the foundation, in the news release.

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation is dedicated to growing the game of golf and creating opportunities for youth in west central Minnesota.

"We believe golf teaches valuable life skills, creates meaningful relationships and strengthens communities," Dalton continued.

Dalton noted that the facility will serve golfers of all ages while providing a centralized location for junior golf programming, community events and player development initiatives.

"Partnering with Scott Dirck and Little Crow Country Club allows us to combine world-class instruction with a shared commitment to growing the game," Dalton said. "Our vision is to create a destination for golf development that benefits young players, families, club members and the broader community."

Isaac Nelson, head golf professional at Little Crow Country Club, said the project aligns perfectly with the club's commitment to providing exceptional golf experiences while investing in the future of the game.

"Little Crow Country Club has always been committed to providing outstanding golf opportunities for our members and guests," Nelson said. "This partnership allows us to expand those opportunities in a meaningful way. Having a dedicated player development facility on-site will enhance the member experience, support our junior golf initiatives and further establish Little Crow as a leader in golf development throughout Minnesota."

The project is being funded through charitable contributions made to the Little Crow Junior Golf Foundation.

"The response from our supporters has been tremendous," Dalton added. "We're grateful to everyone who has helped move this project forward. There are still opportunities for donors and community partners to become part of something that will have a lasting impact on youth golf and our community for years to come."
