The Detroit Lions made their first pick of the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft a little earlier than scheduled. The Lions traded up from No. 60 overall to No. 57, swapping with the Denver Broncos to select Georgia guard Tate Ratledge.

Ratledge joins the Lions offensive line that needs an invigoration of youth. He was the starting right guard for Georgia for most of the last four seasons, missing some time with injuries in a couple of years. The 6-foot-6, 308-pounder is generally viewed as a guard-only due to a lack of arm length.

The Lions trade No. 60 and No. 130 overall (fourth-round pick) to the Broncos for No. 57 and No. 230 (7th round)

With that trade, the Lions are not on the clock after the final pick of the third round (No. 102 overall) until the sixth round, barring any additional trades.
