Lions general manager Brad Holmes made it crystal clear on Thursday night: the Jameson Williams trade rumors were hogwash.
Holmes met with the local media after the selection of Ohio State DT Tyleik Williams. After excitedly talking about all that Williams offers for Detroit, the tone changed at the end of his press conference.
For the final question, Holmes was asked about the Jameson Williams trade rumors that had been making the rounds on social media and message boards. The Lions GM emphatically denied that the topic had ever come up inside the building.
“No. That’s something that we have never entertained," Holmes stated. "I don’t know where that report came from, but that’s not a conversation that me and Dan (Campbell) have ever had.”
End of story.
