Licking Heights Local Schools has launched the Hornet Champions Club, a new annual giving campaign focused on strengthening opportunities for student-athletes across the district.
At Licking Heights, athletics play an important role in student development by building character, leadership and a strong sense of belonging that extends well beyond graduation. As participation grows across the district’s 21 varsity programs, so does the commitment to providing meaningful and accessible experiences for every student-athlete.
The Hornet Champions Club brings together families, alumni, local businesses and community partners who want to support and invest in these experiences. This effort creates a shared opportunity to enhance athletic programs while building lasting connections across the Licking Heights community.
“Through athletics, our students gain experiences that shape who they are both on and off the field,” Superintendent Kevin S. Miller said. “This campaign allows our community to play a direct role in supporting those opportunities, helping expand access and opportunity for students across the district.”
Through the Hornet Champions Club, community support directly enhances the student-athlete experience by helping provide:
- Student-athlete experiences and leadership development
- Equipment and program needs
- Facility maintenance and enhancements
- Coaching development
Each gift also contributes to a shared fund that benefits all athletic programs, while still allowing donors to direct support to specific teams or programs that matter most to them.
The inaugural campaign runs through June 30 with a goal of raising $50,000 to support current and future Hornet student-athletes. This is a privately funded initiative, and all contributions directly benefit athletic programs and student experiences.
