Let's talk about Jon Leuer.

Another under the radar steal by McD? He seems to have already taken Mirza's spot as the backup stretch 4.

Gotta give McD credit. He seems to be able to find one or two of these guys every year. Of course there's guys like Tolliver that don't pan out. Hoping Teletovic doesn't turn out to be a bust, but it might not even matter if Leuer keeps producing.

Leuer has been a great addition. I don't feel so nervous about having to depend so completely on Morris.

The defense and rebounding looks much better so far. Having that depth in the front court with Leuer and Len off the bench is a huge part.

Leuer plays some rock solid, basic basketball. Nothing fancy. He brings his game every night. I do not not have to worry what he brings to the table. He can bang, rebound and shoot. If the Suns need help at the PF position he brings it. If the Suns need someone to play center, he can do that too. He stabilizes the Suns frontcourt. I couldn't believe the value the Suns received when they traded a second round pick to the Grizzlies for him. He is one of the hidden steals of the offseason.

In regard to Mirza Teletovic, he is beginning to remind of Anthony Tolliver when he played for the Suns. Tolliver never could get his shot on track, the same with Mirza at the moment. I was really high on him as a player when the Suns signed him so I hope he gets it going.

I agree with this. Rock solid, all-around, and every night. He is consistent, which is such a rare thing in the NBA. Hopefully his minutes will be consistent too. A guy like Leuer should be getting 15-20 minutes every game.

When I think of Leuer, I think of Kurt Rambis. Nothing fancy, just solid. Every team needs a guy like this. Dan Majerle was a similar type of player. Same with Kurt Thomas, Mark West, and even Grant Hill in his later years. They were seldom the best player on the court, but you got consistently good play every night.

White, athletic, defends and rebounds well too. I think Leuer has a bit more range than Plumee though.

He should be the primary backup and if Kieff doesn't turn it around...who knows maybe more.

Teletovic sucking can not be a surprise.

He is 30, with health issues and has never been a good NBA player. He is a 6'8 Power Forward who is shooting under 40% on his career. That is all you need to know.

Mind-boggling signing.
