Just when everyone has eyes on LeBron James, the four-time NBA champion has shown his support for Joel Embiid ahead of the new season.
The Philadelphia 76ers centre unveiled his impressive physical transformation ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Embiid will be under pressure to stay healthy after injuries limited him to just 38 regular-season games last season despite averaging 26.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
Philadelphia have strengthened their roster by bringing in LeBron this summer, with the veteran joining Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown as the 76ers chase an NBA championship.

Embiid recently shared photos and videos of his offseason workouts on the internet, revealing a noticeably leaner, ripped physique ahead of training camp.
The 2023 NBA MVP accompanied the post with his familiar catchphrase that almost every sportsperson alive believes in, ‘Trust the Process’, which has become closely associated with both him and the franchise.
LeBron quickly shared Embiid’s Instagram post to his own story while repeating the same message.
Posting Embiid’s update, James simply wrote: ‘Trust the Process.’
LeBron is not only making the most out of the move, but it is also an encouraging sign for the 76ers, who know Embiid’s availability could determine how far they go this season.
While James remains one of the NBA’s biggest stars and Maxey continues to develop into one of the league’s top guards, Philadelphia still need Embiid at his dominant best to compete for a title. Perhaps his recent activity on social media might reassure the fans.
His fitness has been a major talking point in recent years.
And what raises eyebrows is that Embiid has not appeared in more than 39 regular-season games in any of the previous three seasons, making his health one of the biggest talking points entering the upcoming campaign.

Observers have noted that Embiid looks slimmer than ever before, suggesting the arrival of James and the expectations surrounding this revamped 76ers roster may already be having an influence.
Philadelphia have assembled one of the NBA’s most talented squads on paper.
If Embiid can stay on the floor alongside James, Maxey and Brown, the 76ers will believe they have every chance of competing for the championship this season.
