JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference announced its all-fall sports teams.
Student-athletes from Bedford, Bishop Carroll Catholic, Bishop McCort Catholic, Central Cambria, Chestnut Ridge, Forest Hills, Greater Johnstown, Richland, Somerset and Westmont Hilltop are listed.
In boys cross country, Central Cambria’s Ethan Haycisak and Reed Takacs and Forest Hills’ Tyler Caron were named to the first team. Bishop Carroll’s Noah Knoblach, Chestnut Ridge’s Grady McDonald, Central Cambria’s Miles Doyle and Forest Hills’ Jack Smith were voted to the second team. Central Cambria was the team champ.
Bedford’s Chloe May, Central Cambria’s Paige Alexander, Forest Hills’ Bella Ascherl, Richland’s Natalia Mavridis and Somerset’s Emily Fisher and Libby Marteeny were selected to the girls cross country first team. Bishop Carroll’s Abigail Hines and Central Cambria’s Alaina Long, Alyson Sheehan and Delaney Snyder were named to the second team. Central Cambria was the team champion.
The West football’s first-team offense consists of McCort-Carroll’s Jon Delia (running back) and Caleb Rodriguez (guard); Chestnut Ridge’s Elijah Diehl (tackle); Forest Hills’ Xander Richardson (quarterback, running back, athlete); Penn Cambria’s Ayden Himmer (tight end), Blake Lilly (returner), Logan Price (center) and Dayne Summerville (tackle); and Richland’s Jamere Christian (wide receiver), Brodie Hollis (guard), Arnold Mugerwa (wide receiver), Ryan Rakita (center) and Mitch Timcik (kicker).

Chestnut Ridge’s Haley Hundley is the West most valuable player. Bedford’s Taylor Ruhlman and Kasey Shuke, Bishop McCort’s Julia Vittone, Somerset’s Emilia LaNasa and Westmont Hilltop’s Lilly Evans and Isabella Parrish were named to the first team.
In girls volleyball, Central Cambria’s Erica Brouse (hitter) and Rowyn Ruddek (defensive specialist), Forest Hills’ Morgan Gdula (defensive specialist) and Eva Myers (hitter), Penn Cambria’s Lily Gergely (hitter) and Richland’s Addison Hirsch (hitter) and Brooklyn Roberts (setter) are on the first team. Bishop Carroll’s Emily Olienyk (hitter), Forest Hills’ Kiera Smith (setter), Penn Cambria’s Kate Eckenrode (hitter), Richland’s Kiya Wise (hitter), Somerset’s Eve Housley (hitter) and Westmont Hilltop’s Bella Thomas (setter) were selected to the second team.
