How many games will the New England Patriots win in 2026?

According to Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton, the Patriots will finish next season with an 8-9 record.

The Patriots (14-3) finished with the best record in the NFL in 2025. New England reached the Super Bowl at the end of the season and did much work in the offseason to replace their departing free agents with players of like value.

New England also added much depth to their offensive line in the 2026 NFL Draft, priming them for another Super Bowl chase next season.

The Patriots will be challenged in their schedule next season, which the NFL released for all 32 teams in the league on Thursday. The Patriots will play six of their nine road games on the year before their Week 11 bye, four of which will be against Super Bowl contenders in the Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.

New England will get a break against the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, all of whom did not make the playoffs last season, prior to the bye. The Patriots will see more home games after the bye than road games.

The Patriots maintained the strength of their roster this offseason and have a balanced slate of games against tough opponents at varying times in the year, making a six-win drop-off hard to envision for next season.

Romeo Doubs figures to give the Patriots a strong primary wide receiver in place of Stefon Diggs. Dre’Mont Jones is likely to approximate K’Lavon Chaisson’s production on the edge next season at the least, and the offensive line is in a better situation than it was in last season, with virtually the same units elsewhere on the roster.

An 8-9 record is perhaps too far of a fall off for the defending AFC champions. Double digit wins is more realistic to expect given the Patriots’ strength of schedule, though another 14-win season is perhaps too much to expect.
