Even though they finished with just the NFC's No. 3 playoff seed, the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles still have all their goals in front of them. While they will have to play a lot better to go back-to-back as champions (especially on offense), it still means something that they at least get a chance to defend their title.

Health, as it usually does in the NFL, is going to determine whether the Eagles can actually pull their mission off. Perennial All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson would certainly qualify amongst the important players to the Eagles. That's why a Saturday night update on his status for Sunday afternoon's wild-card game against the San Francisco 49ers was so encouraging for the Eagles.

According to Jason Dumas of 6abc, Johnson is expected to suit up while dealing with complications from a sprained Lisfranc injury suffered earlier this season. It's great news that he seems healthy enough to play in a high-stakes playoff game. It's even better that Philadelphia will have the cornerstone of its offensive line available. That's the kind of stuff that can potentially swing games:

We'll see how Johnson is moving around and what kind of impact he'll have on the Eagles' offense. A hunch says that it will be very evident.
