The 2026 NBA Draft is now officially over, and therefore, it is time for teams to scoop up incoming rookies who weren't selected.

The Los Angeles Lakers started the draft on Tuesday by acquiring the draft rights to Cameron Carr, a dynamic 6-foot-5 guard out of Baylor University who was taken with the No. 24 pick by the New York Knicks. They then acquired the No. 56 pick from the Chicago Bulls, used it on Vsevolod Ishchenko and then sent his rights to the Dallas Mavericks for cash.

In addition, Los Angeles is reportedly signing AK Okereke, a forward out of Vanderbilt University who went undrafted, as a free agent.

Okereke is 6-foot-7 and 244 pounds, and he averaged 9.6 points on 48.1% overall shooting and 40% from 3-point range this past season for the Commodores. He transferred to Vanderbilt University a year ago after spending three years at Cornell University, and he helped it reach the NCAA Tournament's Round of 32 for the first time since 2012.

He began his college basketball career as a walk-on, and he is originally from Clovis, a town in Central California just outside of Fresno.
