Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

During his college career, Roger Brown played a role in the University of Kansas reaching the Final Four in 1971. A few months later, the Lakers took him in the fourth round of the NBA draft. He appeared in one game with the Lakers during the 1972-73 season and scored one point in five minutes of playing time.

After that, Brown jumped to the rival American Basketball Association (ABA) and spent the rest of that season with the Carolina Cougars. He bounced around from team to team in the ABA, and he was named to the All-Star team during the 1975-76 season.

Midway through that season, the 6-foot-11 big man returned to the NBA and was with the Detroit Pistons through the 1976-77 campaign. After a brief detour in the Western Basketball Association, Brown would play one final year in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls during the 1979-80 season.

He retired with career averages of 2.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 11.2 minutes a game across both the NBA and ABA.
