Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

In 2013, the Phoenix Suns took seven-footer Alex Len with the No. 5 pick in the NBA draft out of the University of Maryland. The Ukrainian import spent many years as a solid rotational center in the NBA, and in his early and prime years, he was a strong rebounder who could, at times, protect the rim.

Midway through last season, the Sacramento Kings traded him to the Washington Wizards, who promptly cut him. The Lakers then signed him for the rest of the season from the buyout market.

While the Lakers badly needed a serviceable center, Len got little playing time from coach JJ Redick. He averaged 2.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 12.2 minutes a game during the regular season while appearing in just 10 games, and he almost never saw the court in the team's five-game loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.

This past October, Len returned to the Eastern Hemisphere and joined Real Madrid in Spain. He has career NBA averages of 6.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 17 minutes a game.
