Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

One year after he went undrafted out of the University of Arkansas, Mason Jones came to the Lakers on a two-way contract early in the 2021-22 season. He played in four games with them and totaled 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 51 minutes.

The 6-foot-4 guard went to the Mexico City Capitanes, who were then in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP), the following season, before appearing in a total of 15 NBA games over the next two years. Jones is currently a member of the Hong Kong Bulls of the Chinese National Basketball League, where he won a league championship this past season. He also took home a G League title and finals MVP award as a member of the Stockton Kings during the 2024-25 season.
