The Los Angeles Lakers aren't a team that is known for throwing down flashy dunks. But in Monday's 129-118 win over the Chicago Bulls, backup center Jaxson Hayes served up a highlight when he went between his legs and jammed the basketball on a breakaway fast break.

It was his variation of Isaiah Rider's "East Bay Funk Dunk" from the 1990s. Now, Hayes will have an opportunity to show off his dunking skills in front of a large audience.

He has reportedly accepted an invitation to compete in this year's slam dunk contest at NBA All-Star Weekend, per ESPN.

"Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes and San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant have accepted invitations to the NBA slam dunk contest at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania."

This is Hayes' third season with the Lakers. He's averaging 6.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 blocks in 17.7 minutes a game while making 77.3% of his field-goal attempts.

The dunk contest will take place on Feb. 14, one day before the All-Star game, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
