Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell will enter the 2026-27 season squarely on the hot seat after Tennessee ended last season on an eight game losing streak. Caldwell is hoping a new-look roster will yield better results.

Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell got straight to work this offseason after finishing last season on an eight game losing streak.

Caldwell is flipping Tennessee’s entire roster — every player from last year's team is gone after either exhausting eligibility or entering the NCAA transfer portal — and she made a couple of important coaching staff moves.

The Lady Vols have already made five transfer additions this offseason, and more could soon be on the way.

Adebanjo, a 6-foot-3 native of Nigeria, started her career in Japan before joining Arizona just before the start of the 2025-26 season.

The athletic forward didn’t put up huge numbers last season — 3.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.5 steals, and 0.9 blocks while playing 10.4 minutes per game — but she’s viewed as a high-upside player with the potential to become a star.

(Over the final eight games of last season, Adebanjo averaged 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in 18.3 minutes per game.)

Adebanjo would be a great addition for the Lady Vols. She should improve tremendously in her second season in major college basketball, and she would provide Tennessee with a dominant defensive presence in the paint.

It’s been a productive offseason for Caldwell and the Lady Vols, and they aren’t done yet.
