Tennessee volleyball announced the signing of Indiana transfer setter Mallory Matheny on Thursday.
"Our Tennessee volleyball program couldn't be more excited to welcome Mallory Matheny to our team," Tennessee head coach Eve Rackham Watt said. "She is a special talent who will be a huge part of our success. Mallory comes from an elite volleyball background and has won at every level. She is quick, accurate, and ultra-competitive.
"As a setter, she has the ability to lead and inspire in a way that I know her teammates will love playing with. We have had tremendous success at the setter position, and we believe Mallory fits the mold to continue that tradition and help elevate everything we do on and off the court."
Matheny is from Bishop Hartley High School in Columbus, Ohio. She was featured in the 2026 Under Armour All-American Game. Matheny was one of 28 players selected nationally to compete in the event.
She joins Jalyn Stout (Coastal Carolina), Kennedi Rogers (SMU), Nia Hall (South Carolina) and Raegan Burns (Kansas) as transfers who committed to the Lady Vols.
